Rising from the ashes and blooming lilies is the abstract meaning of this psychedelic mural. This mural is full of many symbols with each part possessing its own meaning. The focal point of this mural is made into an abstract Phoenix; It represents rebirth. A Phoenix "dies" only to be reborn and rise from the ashes embedded with Fire. This Phoenix represents civil rights protesters. Because of MLK and many others who died for civil rights in the ’40s, we were able to rise and reborn into a stronger form. The focal point is converted in fire, which represents rebirth, hope, passion, and desire.
The head of the Phoenix is a lily flower yet to bloom and the tail represents a road. You can see people walking on the tail towards the unbloomed follower with a BLM symbol. This represents how we are walking towards Justice and we are not going to stop until we reach it.

"Protesters back then
and now are walking to reach one main goal. We (protesters) are blooming flowers
on our way."

The twirls (Green Stem) coming out of the lilies are inspired by the Bob Dylan song “Blowin' in the wind". It is a Civil Rights Song with a lot of deep meaning.
For the color, warm colors are used on the Phoenix, as it is rising from the ashes in a fire form. The lilies are orange because orange lilies represent confidence and pride.
In summary, the whole mural represents how we are rising and becoming strong and walking together with passion making justice. This project was inspired by the death of George Floyd (RIP) and all other people of color who died because of injustice.

"As young adults,
we wanted to use our talent to spread awareness and get involved in our
